We still do not consider the Journal Impact Factor, based on the citation of articles from the past two volumes, necessarily a true measure of a journal’s actual quality, therefore significant changes of the JIF – whether positive or negative – may be caused by chance, but nevertheless we are pleased to announce that in the 2018 Journal Citation Reports (released by Clarivate™ Analytics, based on 2017 data), Odonatologica’s IF has increased again from 0.718 (based on 2016 data) to 0.769.
