Both Odonatologica and Notulae odonatologicae are part of a pilot project launched by our Partner, BioOne, called “Subscribe to Open” (S2O). This means that (at least in) 2026 all papers published will be completely Open Access via the BioOne Complete repository – see here and here respectively. The same is planned for 2027-28 as well, if subscribing BioOne partners continue as in 2026.

For 2026 we’re even planning a new, third extra issue of Odonatologica that will be distributed at no cost to subscribers, with a bunch of new species descriptions (16 to our current knowledge) from Angola. This extra issue is expected to be published together with the normal June 2026 issue.
